Our History
Where We Started - Felton, Delaware
Coming up on our 40th year of serving industries from Wilmington to Accomack, Virginia and from the Delaware Bay to Chesapeake Bay from East to West, Envirocorp holds true to the principles of its founder and patriarch H. Joseph Gannon, Jr.
New Building - Old Peoples Bank Building
After outgrowing the small 600 square foot space, Envirocorp was moved to the old People’s Bank building in Harrington, Delaware in the early 1990’s. The slightly larger space occupied two floors with the office and microbiology taking up the bottom floor and all other laboratory functions operating on the second floor.
H. Joseph Gannon III Returns to the Business
After college H. Joseph Gannon, III returned to join Joe in the business and worked under his guidance for 20 years. The two worked side-by-side for another 5 years, before Joe Jr. decided to hang up his lab coat.
New Building - Old T Shirt Factory
With continued growth through the early 2000’s, Envirocorp once again outgrew its walls. Wanting to keep the business in central Delaware, Joe Jr. and Joe, III purchased a 10,000 square foot fixer upper in Harrington (a former shirt factory) and started a nearly 2 year renovation to expand the lab into a new state of the art facility that stands today.
